Privacy Policy

Terms and Usage
Passora is an offline password and passphrase generator designed to keep core security tasks on your device. This page explains what Passora stores locally, how clipboard and history features work, and the terms that apply when you use the app.
Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Passora mobile and web application developed by Mikael Tenshio. Passora is an offline secure password generator that includes password generation, passphrase generation, strength guidance, optional local history, and local settings.

Passora is designed so its core generation flow works without a user account, cloud sync, ads, or analytics. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the app.

Information Stored Locally

Passora does not send your passwords, passphrases, or settings to developer-managed servers for its core functionality. Instead, the app may store information locally on your device such as:

  • Settings you choose, including default mode, theme, password rules, passphrase rules, auto-copy preference, and haptic preference
  • Optional local history entries when history is enabled, including generated passwords or passphrases, timestamps, favorite flags, and generation settings
  • Temporary interface state needed while you actively use the app

If you disable history, newly generated secrets are not saved to Passora's local history list unless you turn that feature back on.

Local Storage and Security

Passora generates passwords and passphrases locally on your device. The app is designed to persist settings and optional history through device-local storage APIs such as Capacitor Preferences, with a browser localStorage fallback in supported web environments.

This local-first design helps keep data under your control, but it does not mean the device itself is risk-free. If your device, browser profile, or operating system account is shared or compromised, locally stored history and copied secrets may also be exposed.

Passora does not promise that any generated password or passphrase is impossible to crack. Strength indicators are guidance, not a guarantee.

Clipboard and Device Features

When you choose to copy a generated password or passphrase, Passora uses the system clipboard so you can paste the value elsewhere. Depending on your device or browser, clipboard contents may remain available until replaced or cleared.

Passora may also use local device capabilities such as:

  • Clipboard access after your copy action
  • Optional vibration or haptic feedback if your device supports it
  • Local storage access for settings and optional history

Passora is not designed to request contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or precise location access for its core features.

Data Retention and Deletion

You remain in control of locally stored Passora data.

  • You can clear saved history from inside the app
  • You can reset settings and local history from the app's settings screen
  • You can remove the app to erase locally stored app data from the device

If you copied a generated secret outside the app, removal from Passora does not automatically clear your operating system clipboard or other apps where you pasted the value.

Third-Party and Platform Handling

Passora's core experience is designed without developer-run cloud services, ad networks, or analytics tools.

However, if you download the app through an app store, use it in a browser, or interact with your device clipboard and operating system, those platforms may process technical or operational data under their own policies.

You should review the privacy practices of your app store, browser, and device platform if you want more detail about their handling.

Children's Privacy

Passora is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-managed services for this app.
