description Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Aqualune mobile application developed by Mikael Tenshio.
Aqualune includes:
- Onboarding with name entry and daily hydration goal selection
- Quick-add water logging, custom amount entry, and reusable cup presets
- History, daily summaries, reminder-window settings, and reminder style options
- Appearance and language preferences stored locally on the device
- A local JSON export flow for the user's own hydration summary data
Aqualune does not show account registration, developer-run cloud sync, or a custom backend for storing your hydration records. The current product Aqualune keeps core hydration data on your device.
database Information Stored Locally
Aqualune stores app state locally on the device or browser storage. Local data may include:
- Your display name and hydration goal
- Water intake logs with timestamps and optional cup references
- Reminder settings such as enabled state, start time, end time, interval, and message style
- Reusable cup presets and custom cup settings
- Appearance, language, and onboarding-completion preferences
In the shared web build, this information is stored through browser local storage. In packaged mobile environments, equivalent local device storage behavior may be used by the runtime environment.
notifications_active Reminders and Notifications
Aqualune includes reminder windows, interval settings, and reminder-style preferences so users can schedule hydration nudges throughout the day.
In the app, notification permission may be requested through the browser Notification API when it is available in your runtime environment. The app also stores the visible permission state locally so the interface can reflect whether notifications are enabled, denied, unsupported, or still undecided.
If you decline notification permission, reminder alerts may be limited or unavailable depending on your platform.
analytics Analytics and Third-Party Services
In the Android app, Aqualune includes Google Analytics for Firebase in the Android app dependencies.
Where Google Analytics for Firebase is enabled, Google may process limited technical and usage-related information such as app opens, screen interactions, device model, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic information under Google's own terms and privacy policy.
Aqualune does not show a separate custom developer server for uploaded hydration logs, profile data, or reminder schedules. App stores, browsers, device manufacturers, and operating systems may still process routine technical data outside the developer's direct control.

data_exploration Permissions and Device Features
The Android app Aqualune currently uses or declares:
- Internet - consistent with Firebase-enabled Android builds
- Browser notification permission - requested only when the runtime environment supports it
- FileProvider support - present in the Android project for local file sharing compatibility
Aqualune does not require camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, or call-log permissions for its core core functionality.
download Exported Data
Aqualune includes a local export flow that can generate a JSON summary containing hydration settings, reminder preferences, cup presets, and water logs.
Exported files are created at your request and then handled by your device or browser download environment. Once you export a file, its storage, backup, sharing, and deletion are controlled by you and your platform.
delete Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored app data remains on the device until you clear app storage, clear browser storage where applicable, use in-app reset options, or uninstall the app.
Aqualune includes actions for clearing current-day logs and resetting app data. Exported JSON files are separate from in-app storage and must be deleted from your device or download location manually if you no longer want to keep them.
Analytics or technical data handled by third-party platforms are subject to those providers' own retention controls and policies.
child_care Children's Privacy
Aqualune is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system for this app.
