Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the BuildMate mobile application provided by Mikael Tenshio.

BuildMate is designed as a local-first estimating utility that does not require an account to perform its core calculations.

BuildMate includes tools for:

• Material calculators for paint, tiles, concrete, cement, sand, gravel, and roofing sheets
• Optional cost estimation, unit conversion, project notes, and saved estimate history
• Offline local storage for projects, inputs, outputs, and settings without a required account

BuildMate does not require a developer-operated account or cloud database to store your project calculations. Core project inputs and saved estimates are kept locally on your device.

2. Calculation Inputs and Project Data

Local project data may include:

• Project names, calculator types, dates, notes, and saved estimate metadata
• Measurement inputs such as dimensions, units, wastage percentages, and mix ratios
• Material quantity outputs, allowance estimates, and optional cost calculations
• Default settings such as paint coverage, default units, theme, and material allowances

Project information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

3. Saved Estimates and Result Summaries

BuildMate can save project calculations locally so you can review, edit, duplicate, or delete earlier estimates without re-entering every value.

Optional cost calculations and project notes are based on the numbers you enter. If you include supplier pricing, project names, or private renovation notes, that information becomes part of your locally stored project data.

4. Sharing and Exported Summaries

When you choose to export or share a project summary, the resulting content is handled by your device, file manager, share sheet, or selected destination app under that service's own controls and policies.

5. Analytics and Third-Party Services

BuildMate may use Google Analytics for Firebase, depending on the installed version and configuration, to understand general feature usage and improve reliability.

Where Analytics is enabled, Google may process limited technical and usage information such as app opens, screen interactions, device model, operating-system version, app version, approximate region, and app-instance identifiers. Project names, measurements, notes, and calculation results are not intended to be included in Analytics events.

BuildMate does not use a separate developer-managed server to store project calculations or construction estimates.

6. Permissions and Device Features

BuildMate may rely on the following device features:

• Local device storage for saved projects, settings, and estimate history
• Internet access for Google Analytics for Firebase where that service is enabled
• Platform sharing when you choose to export or share a project summary

BuildMate does not require camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, or call-log access for its core estimating features.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored projects remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

Analytics data processed by Google is retained according to the configured Analytics retention settings and Google's applicable policies.

8. Children's Privacy

BuildMate is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system for this app.
