Privacy Policy

Terms and Usage
Calcora is a scientific calculator built for everyday arithmetic and advanced math, with local history, offline-first evaluation, and settings that stay on your device.
Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Calcora mobile and web application developed by Mikael Tenshio.

Calcora includes:

  • Standard calculator mode for everyday arithmetic
  • Scientific calculator mode with trigonometry, inverse trig, logs, roots, powers, constants, factorials, percentages, and Ans memory
  • Local calculation history with search, filters, reuse, copy, delete, and clear actions
  • Settings for theme, angle unit, decimal precision, vibration, sound preference, and history visibility
  • First-launch onboarding plus copy-to-clipboard actions for results and history

Calcora does not show account registration or a custom developer-run backend for storing your calculations. Core expression evaluation runs locally in the app.

Information Stored Locally

Calcora uses browser or device local storage for app data that helps the calculator feel consistent between sessions.

  • Settings such as theme mode, angle unit, decimal precision, vibration, sound preference, and history visibility
  • An onboarding flag that tracks whether the welcome screen has already been dismissed
  • Calculation history entries when history is enabled, including expressions, results, selected calculator mode, and a time label

In the app, history is kept to a local on-device list of up to 100 saved calculations. Active expression input, preview values, and the current answer state are also handled locally while you use the app.

Clipboard and Device Features

Calcora includes user-triggered convenience features that stay tied to your device.

  • Copy actions place a result or history entry into your device clipboard only when you tap copy
  • Optional vibration feedback can use the device vibration API when supported and enabled by you
  • The app listens for keyboard input while the calculator screen is active so you can type expressions directly on supported devices

Clipboard contents and anything you paste elsewhere are then handled by your device or the destination app under their own policies and controls.

Analytics and Third-Party Services

In the Android app, Google Analytics for Firebase is the analytics service used by Calcora.

Where Google Analytics for Firebase is enabled, Google may process limited technical and usage-related information such as app opens, screen interactions, device model, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic information under Google's own terms and privacy policy.

Calcora does not use a separate custom analytics backend, account platform, or developer-run cloud database for its core features. App stores, browsers, operating systems, and device platforms may also process routine technical data when you install, update, or run the app.

Permissions and Platform Access
  • Internet - declared in the Android app and consistent with analytics-enabled builds
  • Local storage - used to keep settings, onboarding state, and local history
  • Clipboard access - used only when you choose a copy action
  • Vibration feedback - used only when supported by the device and enabled in settings

Calcora does not require camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, call log, calendar, or broad media-library permissions for its current calculator features.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored Calcora data remains on the device until you delete it from within the app, clear browser or app storage, or uninstall the app.

  • You can delete individual history entries or clear the full saved history from inside Calcora
  • Settings and onboarding state remain local until storage is cleared or the app is removed
  • Clipboard contents and third-party analytics data are subject to the retention practices of the device platform or third-party service involved

Uninstalling the app or clearing its local storage removes locally stored calculator data from that installation, but Analytics data already processed by third-party services may remain subject to their own retention schedules.

Children's Privacy

Calcora is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system for this app.
