Privacy Policy
Currexia is a currency converter that stores settings, conversion history, remembered values, and cached rates locally. The current Android release has no ads, Firebase, analytics, Crashlytics, UMP consent, Advertising ID, accounts, or profiling, but it does use a remote exchange-rate service and optional Google Play Billing support tips.

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Currexia mobile application, developed by Mikael Tenshio.
Currexia provides currency conversion, exchange-rate display, local conversion history, settings, cached rates, and optional support tips through Google Play Billing.
Currexia does not require account creation, registration, login, a name, an email address, or profile information.
2. Data Collection
Currexia does not collect, sell, rent, share, or profile personal information through developer-operated user accounts.
The current Android release does not include Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google User Messaging Platform, an advertising SDK, the Android Advertising ID permission, or analytics event tracking.
Currexia does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, camera, microphone, messages, photos, media files, browsing history, or social profile information.
3. Data Stored Locally
Currexia stores the following information locally on your device:
- Application settings and preferences
- Selected source and target currencies
- Conversion history when history is enabled
- Remembered values such as the last amount when the related setting is enabled
- Cached current and previous exchange-rate snapshots
- Data required to migrate settings, history, and rates from an earlier Currexia version
Conversion history can include the source currency, target currency, entered amount, converted amount, exchange rate, timestamp, and whether the conversion used live or cached rates. This history is stored locally and is not uploaded to a Currexia account service.
4. Exchange Rates and Network Requests
Currexia contacts its remote exchange-rate service over HTTPS to retrieve currency rates. The app sends a simple GET request for the rate snapshot and does not send the amount you entered, your conversion history, or your saved settings as part of the rate request.
The current free service publishes one global rate snapshot per day. Currexia caches the latest and previous rate snapshots locally so conversions can continue when the latest refresh is unavailable.
The exchange-rate service may process standard technical request information, such as IP address, request time, endpoint, response status, and error information, as part of operating, securing, and troubleshooting the service.
5. Optional Google Play Billing
Currexia uses Google Play Billing only for optional support tips. The converter can be used without making a purchase.
Google Play handles the purchase flow and payment processing. Currexia does not receive your card number, bank account details, or full Google payment profile.
To complete or confirm a tip, Google Play Billing may provide Currexia limited purchase information such as product ID, purchase status, order ID, purchase time, and purchase token. Google processes billing data under its own terms and privacy policies.
6. Android OS Backup and Device Transfer
Currexia does not provide cloud sync, account sync, or a background backup feature. However, the current Android build allows Android's operating-system backup and device-transfer features for selected shared preferences.
Only if enabled through your Android or device settings, Android may back up or transfer local Currexia preferences such as settings, conversion history, remembered values, and cached rate data. Currexia does not access, control, or receive that Android backup data.
7. Permissions Used
Currexia uses only the following Android permissions:
- Internet - To retrieve exchange-rate data from the Currexia exchange-rate service and to support optional Google Play Billing flows.
- Network state - To detect whether a network connection is available and provide appropriate loading, cached-data, and retry behavior.
Currexia does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, messages, microphone, photos, media files, or Android Advertising ID.
8. Third-Party Services
Currexia uses the following service providers:
- Currexia exchange-rate service - Provides currency rate snapshots used by the converter.
- Google Play Billing - Handles optional support-tip purchases.
- Google Play and Android services - Distribute application updates and may provide device backup or transfer functionality when enabled by the user.
These providers may process limited technical request, purchase, backup, or platform information required to provide their services. Currexia does not send your entered amounts, conversion history, saved settings, or cached local data as part of the exchange-rate request.
9. No Advertising or Analytics
Currexia does not display advertisements. The application does not include Google AdMob or another advertising SDK, does not access the Android Advertising ID, and does not use personal information for personalized advertising or advertising measurement.
Currexia does not transmit analytics events or crash reports to Firebase, Crashlytics, or another external analytics or crash-reporting service in the current Android release.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Settings, conversion history, remembered values, and cached exchange rates remain locally on your device until you remove them, clear Currexia application storage, or uninstall the application.
Currexia limits saved conversion history in local storage and may keep cached rate snapshots so conversions can continue when the latest rate request is unavailable.
You can delete local Currexia data by:
- Clearing or disabling conversion history inside the application where available
- Clearing Currexia storage through Android Settings
- Uninstalling Currexia
Android OS backup or device transfer may retain saved preferences according to your device backup settings. You can manage or delete those backups through your Android or Google backup settings. Google Play Billing records are handled by Google under Google's policies.
11. Children's Privacy
Currexia is not directed toward children under the age of 13. Currexia does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Currexia's features, permissions, third-party services, or data practices change. The effective date shown on this page will be updated when material revisions are made.
