1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Fast Camera mobile application by Mikael Tenshio.
Fast Camera is an offline-first Android camera utility that does not require an account for its core features.
Fast Camera includes:
- Native Android camera preview, photo capture, and video recording
- Front and back camera switching when supported by the device
- Flash, torch, tap-to-focus, pinch-to-zoom, exposure control, timer options, and grid lines
- Photo and video quality settings, latest media preview, and local gallery saves
- Device capability scanning for camera hardware, zoom, exposure, stabilization, video quality, RAW support, and safe compatibility modes
2. No Remote Data Collection
Fast Camera is designed as an offline-first camera utility and does not require the Android Internet permission for its core camera features.
Fast Camera does not require an account, does not include cloud upload features, and does not send your photos, videos, or personal data to a developer-operated server.
Fast Camera does not use ads, analytics SDKs, remote sync, or account-based services for its core camera features.
3. Photos and Videos Stored Locally
Photos and videos captured in Fast Camera are saved locally through Android MediaStore, usually in the device Gallery or the DCIM/Fast Camera media location used by the app.
Fast Camera does not upload captured media. Your photos and videos remain on your device unless you choose to share, move, back up, or upload them using another app or service.
If you open, share, or delete media from Fast Camera, those actions are handled through Android, your device gallery, file system behavior, or the destination app you choose.
4. Permissions and Device Features
Fast Camera requests only the permissions needed for visible camera features:
- Camera - used to show the live camera preview and capture photos or videos
- Microphone - used only when recording video with audio enabled
- Storage on Android 9/API 28 and below - used only to save captured photos and videos on older Android versions
Fast Camera does not require contacts, precise location, SMS, call log, calendar, or internet permissions for its core camera features.
5. Device Capability Detection
Fast Camera checks local device camera capabilities such as front camera, back camera, flash, zoom, exposure control, stabilization, video support, hardware level, lens options, RAW support, free storage, and thermal status.
These checks happen locally on the device and are used to show, hide, limit, or recommend features based on what the phone reports it can support.
6. Local Settings
Fast Camera may save app preferences locally so repeat capture sessions feel familiar. Local settings may include:
- Grid, level guide, timer, aspect ratio, and quality preferences
- Flash, stabilization, safe mode, low-light helper, and capture preset choices
- Video audio preference, lens target, photo format, manual control defaults, and accessibility mode
These preferences are stored on the device through app-managed local preferences rather than a remote profile.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Captured media remains on your device until you delete it, move it, clear app-related media where applicable, or uninstall or reset device storage according to Android behavior.
Local Fast Camera settings remain on your device until you change them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
Because Fast Camera does not include a developer-run account backend, the developer cannot restore media or settings removed from your device.
8. Children's Privacy
Fast Camera is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system.
