1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the FixLog mobile application provided by Mikael Tenshio.
FixLog is designed as a local-first maintenance log that does not require an account for its core features.
FixLog supports:
- Tracked items such as motorcycles, cars, appliances, gadgets, and home repairs
- Repair and maintenance logs with dates, costs, notes, technicians, shop records, and parts replaced
- Upcoming maintenance reminders, monthly spending summaries, attachments, and optional exports or backups
- Offline local storage without required accounts or developer-managed cloud sync for core use
FixLog does not require a developer-operated account or cloud database to store your repair and maintenance records. Core records are kept locally on your device.
2. Repair Records Stored Locally
Local repair and maintenance data may include:
- Item names, categories, brands, models, identifiers, purchase dates, notes, and photos
- Repair titles, maintenance types, dates, costs, parts replaced, service details, and warranty notes
- Technician names, shop names, contact numbers, addresses, specialties, and related notes
- Reminder schedules, monthly spending summaries, dashboard data, and app settings
Core repair and maintenance records are stored locally on your device rather than synced to a developer-managed account.
3. Photos, Receipts, and Shop Information
FixLog may let you attach receipt images, warranty cards, before-and-after repair photos, and related service documents.
It may also store technician and shop information that you enter for your own reference. If you save contact information, addresses, or service notes, that information becomes part of your locally stored records.
4. Maintenance Reminders
FixLog may provide one-time and repeating maintenance reminders for events such as oil changes, inspections, cleanings, battery checks, and follow-up repairs.
Notification scheduling and delivery depend on your device settings, operating-system behavior, battery rules, and notification permissions.
5. Analytics and Third-Party Services
FixLog may use Google Analytics for Firebase, depending on the installed version and configuration, to understand general feature usage and improve reliability.
Where Analytics is enabled, Google may process limited technical and usage information such as app opens, screen interactions, device model, operating-system version, app version, approximate region, and app-instance identifiers. Repair notes, item names, costs, attachments, and service details are not intended to be included in Analytics events.
FixLog does not use a separate developer-managed repair-history server or require a cloud account for its core features.
Google's privacy information is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Permissions and Device Features
FixLog may rely on the following device features:
- Camera or photo-library access for receipts, repair photos, or item images
- File or media access for stored images, documents, exports, or local backups
- Notification permission for maintenance reminders where supported
- Internet access for Google Analytics for Firebase where that service is enabled
FixLog does not require microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, or call-log access for its core maintenance features.
7. Backup, Export, and Data Retention
Locally stored repair records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, restore over them with a backup, or uninstall the app.
If you export or back up repair data, the resulting files are then handled by your device, file manager, storage provider, or chosen destination under their own controls.
Analytics data processed by Google is retained according to the configured Analytics retention settings and Google's applicable policies.
8. Children's Privacy
FixLog is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system for this app.
