Forma BMI is a calm, local-first BMI calculator. This page explains what information the app handles, how local storage and limited technical analytics work, and the terms for using the app.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Forma BMI mobile application ("Application"), created by Mikael Tenshio. Forma BMI is designed as an offline-first BMI calculator with optional local history and on-device settings.

The current version does not require sign-in, does not create a user account, and does not provide its own cloud sync service.

The app may also use Firebase Analytics to process limited technical and usage information that helps improve stability, performance, and feature quality. Height, weight, age, sex, BMI values, and history are not intended to be included in Analytics events.

Information Handled

Forma BMI can process the information you enter in order to calculate BMI, such as:

  • Height and weight values
  • Selected unit system
  • Optional age and sex inputs used for context in the interface
  • Optional saved BMI result history if local history is enabled

The app may also store local preferences such as your default unit system, animation preference, and whether auto-save history is turned on.

Anonymous analytics data may include general app usage events, screen views, device model, operating system version, app version, and performance diagnostics.

Your height, weight, optional age and sex inputs, and saved BMI results are not intended to be used for analytics purposes.

Local Storage

Forma BMI stores settings and saved BMI history locally on your device using local device storage mechanisms.

BMI entries are not uploaded to a dedicated Forma BMI backend because the current version does not include accounts, server storage, or cloud sync.

Anonymous analytics data collected through Firebase Analytics is processed separately according to Google's data handling and retention practices.

If you uninstall the app, clear app data, or use device cleanup tools, locally stored information may be deleted permanently.

Internet and Third Parties

The Android build may include internet access as part of the app runtime environment. Forma BMI does not require an account and does not provide developer-managed cloud storage for BMI records, but it may use limited network access to send limited technical and usage information to Firebase Analytics.

The app does not include a built-in feature that shares your BMI entries with third parties by default, and your height, weight, optional age and sex inputs, and saved BMI history are not intended to be shared for analytics purposes.

If you share screenshots, use device backup tools, or install the app through a third-party app store or platform, those services follow their own privacy policies.

Forma BMI uses the following third-party service:

  • Firebase Analytics - Anonymous usage analytics and app diagnostics
Your Controls
  • You can disable automatic history saving in the app settings.
  • You can clear saved BMI history from inside the app at any time.
  • You can remove locally stored data by clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app.

Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage stops future analytics collection from that installation, but previously processed Analytics data may remain subject to Google's retention schedules.
