1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the IDGrid mobile application by Mikael Tenshio.
IDGrid is designed as an offline ID photo sheet maker for passport, visa, school, employment, application, and similar photo preparation workflows.
IDGrid includes:
- Android Photo Picker import for photos you choose
- Photo size presets, custom size input, crop and positioning tools, background controls, adjustments, comparison views, clothing and caption options
- A4, Letter, 4R, custom paper, single-page, and multi-page sheet layout flows
- JPG, PNG, and PDF export generation using local Android APIs
- Local projects, reusable templates, recent exports, storage tools, print calibration, local ZIP backup, and restore flows
IDGrid does not require account registration, internet access, cloud upload, online analytics, advertising SDKs, or user tracking for its core app features.
2. Photos You Choose
IDGrid works with photos that you actively choose through Android system picker flows. The app copies the selected photo into app-private local storage so it can continue the editing and export workflow.
Selected-photo information may include:
- The image file you selected
- A local content URI granted by the Android picker
- A copied app-private photo file used by IDGrid
- Image dimensions and other details needed for preview, crop, layout, and export screens
IDGrid does not request broad gallery access for its standard import workflow. You choose which photo the app can open.
3. Local Processing and Output Files
Photo preparation, sheet drawing, image export, and PDF export are handled locally on your Android device using app storage, cache storage, and platform APIs.
Generated outputs may include ID photo sheets in JPG, PNG, or PDF format, along with project records and export records used by the app interface.
Files leave IDGrid only when you choose to open, share, save, print, back up, or otherwise send them through Android platform features or another destination app.
Once you export, open, print, save, or share a file outside IDGrid, that copy is controlled by your device, printer workflow, file manager, cloud provider, or destination app.
4. Projects, Templates, Settings, and Backups
IDGrid stores its main app data locally on your device. Local data may include:
- Project names, project IDs, modified dates, selected photo paths, selected size presets, paper settings, copy counts, and exported status
- Template names, favorite state, photo size, paper size, and copy count
- Export names, created dates, file format, local file path, and size labels
- Preferences such as dark mode, onboarding state, language, save-original preference, face-guide preference, cut-line preference, and metadata-related preference
- Manual ZIP backup files that you create and save to a location you choose
IDGrid disables Android Auto Backup for app-managed data in the reviewed build. Manual backups are created only when you choose the backup flow and pick a destination.
5. Permissions and Device Features
Depending on your device and app version, IDGrid may use or declare:
- Android Photo Picker or file picker access for photos, backup files, and restore files that you choose
- Create Document access for saving a local backup ZIP to a destination you select
- App-private storage and cache for selected photo copies, projects, templates, export history, temporary files, and local settings
- External app files and FileProvider support for opening or sharing exported sheets through Android-approved URI grants
- Android print, open, share, and file-management flows when you choose to send output files outside the app
The reviewed Android app is built without Internet, camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, SMS, call-log, notification, or broad storage permissions for its core ID photo sheet workflow.
6. Third-Party Services
IDGrid does not use a developer-operated account system, cloud database, remote upload service, online analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or user-tracking service for its core app features in the reviewed build.
IDGrid may still rely on platform services such as Android, Google Play, device WebView or system components, Android system pickers, local file APIs, FileProvider, print services, share sheets, and destination apps so the app can install, process, export, open, print, and share files.
Those platform services, printers, cloud folders, file managers, and destination apps are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical limits.
If IDGrid later adds analytics, advertising, cloud backup, account sync, online image processing, or another external integration, this Privacy Policy should be updated to describe the changed data practices.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored IDGrid data remains on your device until you delete individual projects, templates, exports, cached files, or app data; restore replacement data; clear storage in Android settings; reset your device; or uninstall the app.
Exported sheets and backup ZIP files remain wherever you save or share them until you delete those copies from the selected location or destination app.
Because IDGrid does not use a developer-operated cloud backup or account service for its core workflow, deleted local data may not be recoverable unless you kept your own export or backup.
8. Children's Privacy
IDGrid is a general utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-managed account system for this app.
Because ID photos may identify a person, parent or guardian supervision is recommended when a child's photo is selected, exported, printed, or shared.
