Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Metrivo Android application developed by Mikael Tenshio.

Metrivo helps users keep tempo with BPM controls, tap tempo, time signatures, subdivisions, accents, count-in, sound, vibration, and background playback controls.

2. Information Stored Locally

Metrivo stores metronome preferences locally on your device. This may include:

• Tempo, time signature, subdivision, accent, count-in, click sound, volume, and vibration settings
• Theme mode, reduced-motion preference, haptic feedback, restore-tempo behavior, keep-awake setting, and background playback preference
• Dialog, sheet, and app-state preferences needed to keep the metronome experience consistent on the same device

These settings are used only to provide app behavior on your device and are not sent to the developer.

3. No Remote Data Collection

Metrivo does not request Android Internet permission and does not use a developer account system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking SDK, advertising ID permission, cloud database, or cloud-sync service.

The app is not designed to collect practice history, tempo history, device identifiers, or personal profiles for the developer.

4. Permissions and Device Features

Metrivo may request or use these Android permissions and device features:

• VIBRATE - used for optional haptic feedback or beat vibration
• WAKE_LOCK - used only while active playback needs to keep timing reliable
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK - used for metronome playback that continues when background playback is enabled
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS - used on supported Android versions to show playback controls while the foreground service is active
• Audio output - used to play local metronome click sounds

Metrivo does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos, videos, broad file access, SMS, call log, calendar, or advertising ID permissions.

5. Playback, Notifications, and Device Behavior

When background playback is enabled, Metrivo may run a foreground playback service and show a notification with a stop action. The app may also keep the screen awake or use a partial wake lock during active playback depending on your settings.

Audio timing, notification behavior, vibration, battery usage, and background limits can vary by Android version, device model, manufacturer settings, battery saver, and app version.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Metrivo settings remain on your device until you change them, reset app data, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.

The developer does not operate a cloud backup or restore service for Metrivo preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

Metrivo is a general music and practice utility and is not directed to collecting information from children. The app does not require registration or remote submission of personal information.

8. Changes and Contact

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Metrivo changes features, permissions, data handling, or legal requirements.
