Tapnity is a local-first Android finger chooser for selecting winners, multiple winners, or balanced teams on one screen. It processes touch positions during the round, stores preferences on your device, and works without an account, advertising, analytics, cloud sync, or Internet permission.

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the Tapnity Android application developed by Mikael Tenshio.
Tapnity provides multi-touch group selection, countdowns, one-winner mode, multiple-winner mode, team mode, result screens, tips, sound settings, haptic settings, confetti, and theme preferences.
2. Touch Processing During a Round
Tapnity uses Android touch input to detect where participating fingers are placed on the screen during an active round.
Finger positions, touch identifiers, stability timing, countdown state, and winner or team calculations are processed to run the round and display the result.
Tapnity does not create biometric profiles, fingerprint templates, identity records, or user accounts. Screen touches are used only as temporary interaction data for the active selection flow.
3. Information Stored Locally
Tapnity stores a limited amount of app state and preferences in app-private storage on your device. This may include:
- Theme mode, onboarding status, tips preference, sound preference, haptic preference, and confetti preference
- Selection settings such as countdown length, stability delay, mode, winner count, and team count
- Ordinary local state needed to display settings and restore the app experience
Tapnity does not require you to enter names, contact details, or an account profile to use its core features.
4. No Remote Data Collection
Tapnity does not require an account and does not send touch positions, results, teams, preferences, or device identifiers to a developer-operated server.
The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, cloud databases, online multiplayer services, or cloud-sync services.
Tapnity does not request Android Internet permission for its core selection features.
5. Permissions and Device Features
Tapnity uses standard Android touch input, local app storage, screen drawing, optional sound, and optional haptic feedback to provide its features.
The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, photos, media, SMS, call log, calendar, broad file access, or network permissions for its selection features.
Sound and haptic feedback, when enabled, are handled on the device and may also be controlled through app settings or system settings where supported.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Tapnity preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
Clearing storage or uninstalling Tapnity may permanently remove onboarding status, preference settings, countdown settings, and other local app state.
The developer cannot restore information that was stored only on your device and later deleted or lost.
8. Changes and Contact
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Tapnity changes features, data handling, permissions, or legal requirements. The latest version will be made available on this page.
